Gingerbread Castles

Count on a house dominated by 3 chicks, to choose princess themed gingerbread houses! This is one of the highlights for me of the preChristmas festivities! There is always more licking than applying, but it makes for some fun memories! I love that my girls are both at the ages where they will start to remember things like this. It makes me feel sad that this is the fifth gingerbread house we've made with her. Where does the time go? I love Christmas! I wish that the next couple weeks could last for months!

How fun! I must say that I attempted the gingerbread thing this year, a train one, but Carson didn't want to get his hands dirty with the frosting. He just sat there and ate the candy that was supposed to go on the thing. I even noticed a few missing gumballs from our finished masterpiece the other day, what a little sneak.

I just watched the championships in gingerbread building on the Food Network. It takes place at this hotel that looks like a very large gingerbread house! One of the little girls that entered hers was all made out of different shades of pink. Of course it was a castle and SHE WON!!! Kate and Bella would have loved it. Can Grandma jani join in next year?

Ayda did gingerbread houses for the first time this year and loved it. I think she will be very jealous when she sees that your girls made castles!! Very very cute.
